We not only offer our own fabulous dance classes, but we also rent our space to fantastic teachers in our community!

Allow me to introduce you to one of those teachers, Karen Jaffe of Tango Gypsies!

Karen Jaffe comes from an extensive background of theater, gymnastics, and an eclectic mix of dance disciplines. She discovered Argentine Tango in 1998 and since then has studied intensively with many well-known teachers. She travels to festivals all around the USA, as well as annually to Buenos Aires to devote several weeks to studying and social dancing. She began teaching in 2003 and currently leads private and group classes in Asheville and appears as guest artist-teacher through the Southeast.

Karen’s focus in teaching is to make the dance accessible and enjoyable to all who are interested. Being the mother of two is a challenge, but the joy of dancing and teaching helps her maintain balance in life. After all, Karen says “Tango is a metaphor for life!”
