Creative Arts Preschool Open Houses and Drop-In Wednesdays!

The Asheville Arts Center offers a fantastic arts-based preschool program designed for fostering creativity in kids.  Open to kids, ages 2-4, the Creative Arts Preschool is a morning preschool program (9:15am-1pm) available for 2, 3 or 5 days a week at both our Asheville & Arden locations.

CAPFlyerThe Creative Arts Preschool program offers hands-on learning so that children can discover the wonderful world around them. Research studies show that exposing children to the Performing Arts helps improve critical thinking and develop self-confidence. Children naturally respond to music, dance, art and drama. At the Asheville Arts Center, our curriculum incorporates all of this, while allowing each child to excel in other areas as well, such as math, science and language.

The Asheville Arts Center Creative Arts Preschool is designed to recognize and encourage each child’s uniqueness by exposing them to the Creative and Performing Arts. We believe that learning is a creative process that should always be fun. Each student is encouraged to discover the joy of learning through exciting daily themes that tap into their creativity and self-expression. At the Asheville Arts Center, we promote self-esteem and respect for others, while being sensitive to children’s varying development and learning styles. By providing enrichment opportunities for our students to grow, we help each child to gain self-control and to achieve a positive self-image in a happy, safe, and stimulating environment.

olivia1Every Wednesday for the rest of 2009 we are allowing drop-ins from interested parents.  Give us a call to let us know you’ll be stopping in with your child to check out our program.

Additionally, we will be hosting two preschool open houses over the next month.  These will be held on:

Friday, September 25 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Saturday, October 17 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.

Both open houses will be held at our main location at 308 Merrimon Avenue, Asheville.  We’d love to see you!

We are wanting to start our son Beau at a two-morning-a-week program in January. He’ll be 3, and it will be his first time away from us. We’re planning to attend a drop-in Wednesday or one of the open houses; can you let me know if you anticipate any openings in January, and if so, what the tuition will be?
    Thanks so much–

      Hi Melanie,

Thanks so much. We look forward to welcome Beau in January. We do still have space available and we’re excited to have another creative kid spending the mornings with us! I will email you specific details.

    Hi Michael or Heather,
We are looking for a spot for Isaac (age 2 in November), possibly 2 or 3 mornings a week starting in November or December. We hope to come to the open house on the 17th. Who are the teachers, and what is the tuition?
